Making the All in One bookmarks is easy but takes a few steps. My students love to use them and I have found them to be very successful in helping to give them more confidence when reading independently.
First, make a transparency of the bookmark page. I took mine to FedEx and they made 20 copies in less than 5 minutes. It costs about $2.00 per transparency. Each transparency makes 6 bookmarks. If you have a color copier or a color printer you can make your own. I suggest you read up on making your own with a printer. Each printer requires different kinds of transparencies. I found one type that works in all devices. It is made by Apollo and it is called a multiuse or universal transparency. Shop around for these. Believe it or not Amazon was not the cheapest place to get them. I found Walmart to be the cheapest.

After the transparency is made, I found it helpful to cover the section behind the Beanie Baby animals. It is not necessary and does require another step, but I teach struggling readers and I wanted to make them less distracting and simple for them. I simply used white copy paper cut into 1" x 4.5" pieces, put a little glue on the sides of each, and attached it to the bookmark.
I then laminated over the entire thing to secure the paper to the transparency. Another option might be to put white tape over the back of that section, or use the paper and cover it with clear packing tape. It's up to you.

And there it is in action! I hope your students find it as fun and useful as mine do!
